Backup & Sync does three jobs. The Warehouse keeps a queryable copy: your numbers, your reports. The Vault keeps a preserved copy that survives deletion, outages, and vendor exit. Sync keeps a working copy, live in your own SharePoint or Google Drive. One promise covers all three: your data exists outside the systems you rent, and it's current.
The Vault runs a daily encrypted backup of Filevine and Microsoft 365. Each snapshot is stored with full history retained, separate from your live systems.
If a system goes offline, your team works directly from the vault copy. If a file is deleted by mistake, restore the exact version from any prior snapshot. If live data is destroyed, the vault copy is stored separately and is not reachable with credentials to your live systems. In each case, recovery is a matter of selecting the snapshot you want and restoring.
All data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and stored in compliance with HIPAA retention requirements.
